This is what we call a "precedent."

What does it all mean kiddies? Income tax is and always has been a sham. There is no written law stating that income, the money you get for working every day of your life, is taxable. People have been saying it for years and yet the govt. continues to wring us for income tax and prosecute people who don't pay it. They wrote the laws, why don't they know what they mean? Answer: They do, but it's easier to sweep it under the rug, not to mention more profitable.

Reason number 2,672 that the govt is fucking evil.

What to do about it? Nothing, for now, unless you have enough money (or like this guy are already attorney) and can afford to defend yourself in court until there are enough cases that the govt can't afford to pursue them all and income tax either becomes a thing of the past or they manage to pass a new law making it legal - or just stop paying your taxes and cross your fingers that they don't catch on. *shrug*

Probably amount to nothing as usual - I haven't even seen any major news stories covering it, probably because they're paying fox and nbc not to cover it, etc etc. But it's a small victory I guess. Masses: 5 Govt: 2,435,657,234...
